Getting Paid

You will be required to submit a signed timesheet on a weekly basis in order to get paid.  The timesheet must detail the hours you have worked, the client and site name, and a signature from an authorised representative of the organisation.  Timesheets submitted without a signature will not be paid.  We are happy to receive timesheets by post, email or fax.

Please make sure you use the above details to ensure your timesheet reaches the correct department.
Payments are made to your chosen Limited Company every Wednesday, leaving enough time for the funds to clear their accounts thus ensuring you are paid on Friday. Therefore timesheets should reach us no later than 3pm every Wednesday to guarantee payment. Timesheets received after this deadline will be paid the following week.

Workers being paid through their own Limited Company should note that timesheets will not, under any circumstances, be paid without the correct corresponding invoice. Please send an invoice together with each timesheet to ensure you are paid on time.

We politely request that you inform us as soon as possible of any changes to your payment details, including CIS deduction requirements, changes to bank details or changes regarding your chosen Limited Company.

Payment Method

Whilst on assignment through Sphere Solutions, workers can use one of our Managed Service Companies on our Preferred Supplier List, or alternatively you can use your own Limited Company should you have one, providing this meets all requirements.  Please note that at present Sphere Solutions do not offer a PAYE option for any of our temporary workers.

 Our Preferred Supplier List

After extensive research into Managed Service Companies and Payroll companies, Sphere Solutions Ltd has compiled a Preferred Supplier List of those companies we feel offer the best all round service and products for our workers.

Each company offers a variety of different products to suit each individual's needs and requirements, including PAYE packages, CIS and LLP options, and after initial registration, minimum input on your behalf is required.  The aim is that getting paid is as simple as submitting your timesheet to us, then they will take care of the rest. Most importantly, all companies on our PSL hold all of the required insurances to ensure that you are fully covered whilst out working.  The companies on the 2009/2010 PSL are:

  • Sterling Group
  • Crest PLC
  • UK Professional Contractors
  • Zeva Business Support

If you are not already registered with one of these companies, please inform your consultant who will arrange for a representative from each company to contact you to discuss your circumstances and which of their products is right for you.

Please note that Sphere Solutions do not favour any one particular company, nor do we advise on any management fees or other matters pertaining to your personal finances.  This should only be discussed with a representative from each of the PSL members.

 Using Your Own Limited Company

Those wishing to use their own Limited Company must be able meet the following criteria prior to starting your assignment and:

  • The worker must be a named Director of the Limited Company
  • Be able to provide a valid and active company registration number via a Certificate of Incorporation
  • Hold Public Liability and Employers Liability insurance and where applicable, Professional Indemnity insurance.  You must be able to supply evidence of these insurances
  • Provide a valid VAT Certificate for those companies registered for Value Added Tax
  • Agree to our Contract for Services for Limited Companies
  • Have a valid business bank account in the company name - payments to personal bank accounts will not be made under any circumstances

If you cannot meet the above criteria, you may find it easier to use one of our PSL companies (listed above), who have already met our requirements and may be able to offer an alternative option to running your own Limited Company.
