Sphere Solutions are currently working with a large family-owned civil engineering company that is recruiting for an experienced sub-agent on a permanent basis. They have just secured a £25 million scheme starting in April with a programme of 18 months.

Our client provides civil engineering services to almost two-thirds of the country from their offices in Suffolk, Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, Kent and Hampshire. They specialise in the following sectors:

• Highways
• Bridges
• River & Marine
• Utilities & Energy
• Environmental

The Role:

• To efficiently manage safety, quality, cost, and programme performance on a small project or assist a Project Manager / Site Agent on a large project.

The Candidate:

• Previous civil engineering experience (drainage, highways, groundworks, structures)
• S278 or S38 experience
• You need to be driven and self-motivated with a good work ethic.
• You must be willing to learn and continue your development.
• Being a team player is essential to the role.
• Clean UK driving license
• Live within an hour’s radius of Ipswich

Skills and Qualifications:

• Ideally, degree qualified
• NVQ Level 4 in Construction Management or similar
• SMSTS
• CSCS Black
• First Aid
• Contractual knowledge
• Knowledge of programming – ASTA Powerproject
• Able to read and understand drawings, BoQ’s and specifications
• Able to understand plant/labour/materials/subcontract allowances

Locations:

• Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire Warwickshire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Essex, Kent, Surrey, Hampshire and South Yorkshire.
