Description

The Section Managers will be accountable for managing a particular sub-contract package or part of the project to time and budget ensuring quality and safety.

Key Accountabilities include:
Managing health & safety in accordance with Contractor's Policy and Best Practice for areas of responsibility
Communicating contractor's CR policies to the Supply Chain
Dealing with contractual and financial issues in relation to sphere of responsibility
Ensuring the Customer Plan is followed when possible
Following commercial rules and procedures and ensuring contractual requirements are met
Optimising returns by avoiding waste, inefficiencies and reworking, reducing cost and adding value to works through the project risk and opportunity schedule
Developing and maintaining a professional working relationship with the Supply Chain and Customer
 

Skills and Capabilities

This role requires:
Awareness of key health & safety legislation
Understanding of trades best practice and quality control
Good knowledge of prelims and waste cost control
Well developed organisational skills
Ability to Interpret and disseminate contract information
Experience of materials/plan scheduling
No specific qualifications are required for this role
