Office Manager


£18,000 – £28,000 (Depending on location, client and experience)

37.5 – 40 hours per week


Office Managers will organise all administrative tasks and activities that facilitate a smooth running office.  They must make sure all site records are relevant and up to date and that all office equipment is maintained and works effectively.

Client / Project

Your client could be anything from commercial, residential, rail, road and engineering backgrounds.

About the role

Your role may include but is not limited to:

* Managing the files and systems of the site

* Recording office expenditure and logging all receipts for budget updates

* Ordering and maintaining the office supplies e.g. stationary, printer stock etc.

* Maintaining the office cleanliness and arranging repairs if needed

* Maintain and develop efficient and effective office systems compliant with Company standards in relation to both staff and service user information

* Provision of a safe and effective system for the storage, distribution and recording of office based service user related records and monies

* Responding to customer queries or complaints

About the Candidate

* Previous experience within a similar industry as an Administrator or Office Manager

* A good forward planner

* Ability to work within a team and independently

* Excellent organisational skills

* Proficiency in IT and Microsoft packages

* Exceptional attention to detail

* An understanding of the construction industry

* Able to priorities certain tasks over others

* Excellent communicator with the ability to work well under pressure, especially in tight deadlines

* Must be able to present two references from previous employers demonstrating your reliability and work ethic

Skills and Qualifications


5 GCSEs (A-C Grade) or equivalent must include Maths and English.


You can become an Office Manager with any degree or HND but the following subjects may be particularly helpful:

* Business Management

* Computing and IT

* Human Resource Management;

* Administration.
