My client, a property development company with sustainability at the forefront on their vision, are looking to recruit a Development Surveyor to join their growing team based in Truro.
Reporting to the Portfolio Director, the post holder will assist, track & advise on all aspects of planning & development including issues such as site planning, development & transport options. You will be working in the public sector and will consider a range of complex, economic, social & environmental factors when providing the team with critical information.
Duties will include:
Provide back up and support to the Portfolio Director and assist in land disposal
Manage site programmes, reporting on budget, risks & any issues
Assist the technical lead on Infrastructure in reporting and analysis
Assess land and property use requirements, including traffic and infrastructure
Manage and/or take a lead role in projects, from the earliest planning stages through to completion
Identify new opportunities by conducting research and networking
Assist with planning permission applications
Provide valuations, appraisals and prepare documentation for land (& property) disposal
Manage compliance with planning legislation and policy
Ensure that projects are managed successfully, efficiently and profitably
Advocate the conservation and protection of historic or environmentally sensitive sites and areas
Respond quickly to changes in market conditions, client requirements and government policies
Suitable candidates:
Must have worked in a similar role with a developer, local authority or development company
Will have a strong background in managing projects from the earliest planning stages through to completion
Strong development & technical background with sound land knowledge
