Objectives of the post:
Working closely with the Managing Director to develop and implement the groups development strategy and business plan
Liaise with the development team to deliver the groups new homes strategy
Provide and maintain pre-construction programme, including land acquisition, appraisal, planning & development programme
Manage the Technical department to ensure best practices are followed, costs are controlled and the department maximises revenue generation and contribution to the companies operating profit
Liaise with clients, designers, sales & construction department to build strong relationships
Ensure that all designers and consultants are adequately briefed
Support the Development team by providing technical due diligence and risk analysis, identifying abnormal and the commercial impact on any appraisals.
Person Specification:
Must be educated to Degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification
Strategic experience in housing developments is essential, as well as having detailed knowledge of the development processes and building construction including legal and planning issues
Experience of residential developments, including affordable housing and mixed tenure developments.
Knowledge of CDM Regulations
