Quantity Surveyor – Tier One Contractor

We are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Tier One main contractor based in Exeter.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage project costs from early-stage feasibility through to final accounts
• Prepare tenders, cost plans, and procurement strategies
• Administer contracts and manage subcontractor accounts, including managing CIS payments
• Produce accurate monthly cost and value reports and outturn financial forecasts
• Monitor project budgets, cost control, and support financial reporting
• Work closely with project management and site teams to drive commercial performance

About You:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within main contracting (Tier One or major Tier Two contractor experience ideal)
• Strong working knowledge of CIS payment processes
• Ability to produce detailed, accurate monthly financial reports and forecasts
• Excellent understanding of JCT and NEC contracts
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (or working towards professional accreditation)
• Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
