The Opportunity

We’re working with a highly regarded main contractor to recruit an experienced Site Manager for a brand new school build in Cardiff. The Role

As Site Manager, you’ll report to the Lead Project Manager or Contracts Manager and take a hands-on role in managing build activities on site. You’ll ensure quality and safety standards are met while maintaining momentum across programme targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily site operations for your assigned work packages
• Supervise subcontractors and coordinate with internal teams
• Drive programme performance and ensure timely delivery
• Uphold health, safety, and environmental standards
• Work closely with the senior team to manage logistics, progress, and reporting

About You

We’re looking for candidates who:

• Have strong experience delivering new build projects as a Site Manager – ideally including education or public sector schemes
• Hold valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
• Are confident managing subcontractors and leading on-site teams
• Demonstrate a proactive, organised, and quality-driven approach
• Are based locally to Cardiff or able to commute reliably
