Health & Safety Manager – Office Based (with Travel Across the South West)

A respected and well-established housebuilder is seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Manager to lead its health, safety, and environmental strategy across multiple live sites and office locations.

This is a strategic and high-impact role, ideal for a proactive and experienced professional who is passionate about driving a strong safety culture, ensuring legal compliance, and protecting the wellbeing of all employees, subcontractors, and site visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all health and safety functions across construction sites, office and yard environments
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Provide expert advice to site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
• Deliver internal training and toolbox talks
• Ensure continuous improvement and up-to-date compliance with legislation
• Represent the business with external regulators and accreditation bodies

About You:

• NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 6 in Occupational Health & Safety
• CertIOSH as a minimum and working towards CMIOSH
• At least 5 years’ experience in health & safety within construction or housebuilding
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Strong knowledge of legislation, risk management, and incident investigation
• A collaborative, coaching approach to safety and compliance
