The Role – Quantity Surveyor

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money, and maintaining financial control from inception to completion. You will work on a variety of projects, overseeing budgets, contracts, and cost planning to ensure successful delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• ✅ Cost management and reporting throughout project lifecycles
• ✅ Preparing tender documents, contracts, and procurement strategies
• ✅ Conducting risk assessments and value engineering exercises
• ✅ Managing subcontractor payments and valuations
• ✅ Collaborating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial efficiency
• ✅ Providing accurate cost forecasting and budget control

What We’re Looking For

✔ Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
✔ Strong knowledge of contract law, JCT & NEC contracts
✔ Ability to manage multiple projects with values up to £20 million
✔ Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills
✔ Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent qualification) preferred
✔ Experience working with main contractors or building contractors is highly desirable
