The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Site Agent / Engineer to oversee the successful delivery of a variety of civil engineering projects across South Wales.

This is an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of your projects within a supportive, agile organisation — offering the chance to work across multiple business areas, develop your leadership skills, and directly influence performance and delivery outcomes.

You’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the successful delivery of civil engineering projects from planning to completion.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety legislation, environmental standards, and internal quality procedures.
  • Contribute to overall business cash flow and margin through effective financial planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Champion a culture of Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental excellence at every stage of project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Implement efficient resource management, including allocation of labour, equipment, materials, and site facilities.
  • Lead and develop teams, ensuring high performance through coaching, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven track record of successfully managing civil engineering projects across multiple sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong project planning and change control management skills.
  • Solid financial and commercial awareness with the ability to manage costs and optimise resources.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Full and valid UK driving licence.
