Sphere Solutions is partnering with a specialist marine contractor, renowned for delivering complex marine and coastal infrastructure projects, to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator to join and strengthen their Commercial team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping how projects are won, planned, and delivered across the UK.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and produce accurate cost estimates for marine and heavy civil projects
• Analyse drawings and contract documents to define scope, risk, and resources
• Prepare and validate take-offs, rates, and plant/material costs
• Work closely with commercial, engineering, and delivery teams to align bids
• Source and assess competitive supplier and subcontractor quotations
• Manage bid submissions to ensure quality, accuracy, and deadlines are met
• Support and mentor junior estimators, promoting best practice
• Drive continuous improvement and digital innovation, including AI-led estimating tools

We’re Looking for Candidates Who Have

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator within Civils, Heavy Infrastructure, or Marine sectors
• A solid understanding of construction methods, risk management, and environmental considerations
• Strong commercial awareness (experience with NEC contracts is a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software
• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately
