About the Company

We are working with a market-leading groundworks and civil engineering contractor with a strong presence across the South West.

Due to continued growth and investment in people, they are expanding their team and looking to appoint an Apprenticeship Co-ordinator / Health & Safety Administrator based in Exeter.


The Role

This is a varied and rewarding position combining apprenticeship coordination and health & safety administration.

From September, the business will have approximately 50 apprentices, and you will play a key role in supporting their development, ensuring programmes run smoothly and effectively.

Alongside this, you will support the Health & Safety team with essential administration, helping maintain compliance, documentation accuracy, and system organisation.

The role includes occasional site visits across Devon, Cornwall, and Somerset, so flexibility to travel is essential.


Key Responsibilities

Apprenticeship Coordination

  • Act as the main point of contact for apprentices across the business
  • Liaise with training providers, colleges, and internal teams
  • Monitor apprentice progress and ensure programme requirements are met
  • Coordinate enrolments, reviews, and ongoing support
  • Ensure apprentices are fully supported throughout their training journey

Health & Safety Administration

  • Support the H&S team with general administrative duties
  • Maintain and organise health & safety documentation, drawings, and files
  • Ensure compliance records are accurate and up to date
  • Assist with audits and document control processes
  • Support reporting and wider compliance requirements

Requirements & Experience

  • Previous experience in an administration, coordination, or support role
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
  • Proactive and able to manage a varied workload
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and document management systems
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • Willingness to travel across the South West
