Electrical Estimator

Location: Plymouth (Office-based with 1 day remote working)
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 + Electric Company Car + Bonus
Contract Type: Permanent | Full-Time

About the Company

We are working with a growing and forward-thinking renewable energy contractor specialising in commercial electrical installations, solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and EV infrastructure.

With a strong pipeline of commercial and industrial projects, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Estimator to support continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for renewable energy projects
• Price commercial solar PV, BESS, and EV infrastructure schemes
• Assess both electrical and civil scopes of work
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
• Work closely with project and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover
• Identify risks, opportunities, and cost-saving solutions
• Support tender submissions and bid proposals

Requirements & Experience

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within renewables or commercial electrical projects
• Strong experience pricing solar PV, BESS, and EV infrastructure projects
• Understanding of both electrical and civils packages
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Package & Benefits

• Salary £45,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
• Electric company car (Tesla or VW ID.7 after probation)
