Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 DOE + Car Allowance

Sphere Solutions are working with a well-established and growing regional contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Plymouth.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a varied portfolio of commercial refurbishment projects, primarily across Plymouth, with occasional projects extending from Exeter to Land’s End. Project values range from £50,000 to £6 million, offering plenty of variety and responsibility.

The Role

• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of multiple refurbishment projects.
• Prepare cost plans, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Monitor project costs, forecasts, and cash flow.
• Work closely with site and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.

About You

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Commercial refurbishment experience is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of cost management and contract administration.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Full UK driving licence.
