Quantity Surveyor

Location: Newquay
Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Benefits

Sphere Solutions are working with a well-established development and regeneration contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team based in Newquay.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial delivery of refurbishment and regeneration projects
• Prepare cost plans, valuations, forecasts and monthly cost reports
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages
• Negotiate subcontract agreements and manage contract administration
• Assess subcontractor applications, variations and final accounts
• Prepare and submit applications for payment
• Monitor project budgets, cash flow and commercial performance
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Support project teams to achieve successful commercial outcomes

About You

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contractor or refurbishment contractor
• Experience delivering refurbishment, regeneration or commercial construction projects
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts and commercial processes
• Excellent negotiation, communication and organisational skills
• Commercially astute with strong attention to detail
• Full UK Driving Licence
