Quantity Surveyor

Location: Truro
Salary: £50,000–£60,000 + Package
Job Type: Permanent

Sphere Solutions are working with a Tier 1 Contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to work on local landmark schemes across the area.

The Day-to-Day

• Subcontractor procurement.
• Commercial responsibility for multiple sites at any one time.
• Manage valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Report on financial performance, including forecasting, profit/loss and cash flow.
• Ensure contract compliance.
• Attend meetings and liaise with clients, subcontractors and the wider supply chain.
• Update and advise the wider project team on all commercial information.

What We Need From You

• Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a large regional contractor or Tier 1 contractor.
• Ideally, an HND or Degree in a construction-related discipline.
• Strong cost management and negotiation skills.
• Ability to produce accurate valuations and commercial reports.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
