ASSISTANT DESIGN MANAGER

A specialist construction and engineering contractor is looking to recruit an Assistant Design Manager to support the delivery of an £80 million, multi-stage data centre project in Corsham, Wiltshire. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your design management career while working on a major construction and engineering project.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the coordination and delivery of design information from design development through to construction and handover.
• Monitoring design programmes, deliverables and deadlines, identifying potential delays and programme risks.
• Coordinating design activities between consultants, subcontractors and the wider project team.
• Assisting with design reviews, technical submissions, RFIs and design approvals.
• Ensuring design information meets client requirements, Building Regulations, CDM requirements and project specifications.
• Supporting design queries and changes during construction, helping resolve technical issues and maintain coordination.
• Assisting with handover documentation, including as-built records and O&M manuals, while promoting Safety in Design principles.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience within a multidisciplinary construction design environment, ideally in an Assistant Design Manager or similar role.
• An understanding of design management processes from design development through to construction and handover.
• Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM requirements and construction design principles.
• A degree, HNC or equivalent qualification in construction, engineering, architecture or a related discipline.
