Job focus of the week – Commercial Electrician
A Commercial Electrician’s job involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in commercial buildings, such as office buildings, shops, and factories.
The electrician is responsible for ensuring that all electrical work is carried out safely and in accordance with the regulations set out by the UK government. This includes the installation of lighting systems, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and power outlets. The electrician may also be responsible for diagnosing and fixing faults in existing electrical systems, as well as installing new electrical systems in newly built commercial buildings. In addition to this, a UK Commercial Electrician may also be required to carry out periodic testing and inspection of electrical systems to ensure that they are safe and functioning properly.
