Accounts Administrator

Plymouth

Permanent – Fulltime

Sphere is currently recruiting an experienced Accounts Administrator on behalf of our client, a reputable regional contractor, to join their busy accounts team based in Plymouth.

As the Accounts Administrator, you will be detail-oriented and organised and be responsible for managing financial transactions, generating reports, and assisting with general accounting tasks to support the business.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Answering and transferring phone calls, managing emails, welcoming visitors,
  • Inputting data in CRM system, clerical tasks, maintaining filing systems, resolving administrative issues,
  • Preparing documents, collating timesheets, maintaining office calendars,
  • Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors, scheduling meetings and travel arrangements,
  • Managing personnel files and HR documentation,
  • Recording meeting minutes, handling correspondence,
  • Managing office supplies, coordinating maintenance of office equipment,
  • Using QuickBooks for accounts management, invoicing and handling bank reconciliation tasks.
  • Any other ad-hoc admin/accounts duties

Key Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a similar accounts/administration role (essential)
  • Construction industry knowledge i.e. CIS payments etc. (advantageous)
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word and Excell
  • Working experience using QuickBooks for account management
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal
  • Organised and methodical with the ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

On Offer

  • Full time – Permanent 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 08:30 – 16:30 (30min unpaid lunch)
  • Competitive salary paying above national minimum wage.

  • 28 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
