Adoptions Manager

A new opportunity has arisen to join a long-standing contractor who is seeking an experienced Adoptions Manager to oversee the legal and technical handover of newly completed infrastructure.

Suitable candidates must have extensive knowledge of utilities, drainage, roads, and groundwork packages relating to residential developments. A key responsibility of the role will be ensuring adoptions are managed from inspection through to completion, with all approved documentation in place to enable the release of bonds and maintenance handover to the relevant authority.

The Role

• Oversee compliance with adoptable standards including:
  • Highways S278
  • S38 Roads & Sewers
  • SWW S102, S104 & S185
• Liaise with clients and designers to obtain authorisation for changes to agreed standards and drawings.
• Manage remedial works required to ensure roads are adopted on completed developments.
• Use and understand company operational and management systems.
• Provide advice and ensure all records and inspections are completed and accurately documented.

The Person

• Strong knowledge and understanding of adoption and infrastructure works associated with new-build housing estates, including:
  • Sewers
  • Roads
  • Utilities
• Technically minded with a thorough understanding of relevant section agreements.
• Good legal understanding of bonds, certificates, and title deeds.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• HNC or Degree qualified in Construction, Planning, Engineering, or a related discipline would be advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence required, as travel across the South West will be necessary.
