Sphere is currently recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client, an award-winning contractor.

Reporting to the Senior Surveyor you will provide commercial management support for £10m+ new build apartment projects based in Exeter.

Based on site with some travel required to head office

Responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with contract and sub-contract applications for payment documentation
• Assist in the presentation of external valuations and variations
• Assist with procurement of subcontractors, materials and plant hire.
• Assist with the preparation of tenders, cost reporting and maintaining cost control

Key Requirements:

• Recent construction experience, preferably within a regional contracting environment
• Proficient numeracy and IT skills including Excel
• Knowledge of construction methods and materials
• Experience with cost management and reporting

On Offer

• Salary paying up to £45k depending on experience
• Car allowance
