View ProfileI’m seeking an experienced and proactive Document Controller to join our client working on a major high-technology construction project in Newport.
- Location: Newport
- Company: Leading Building Contractor
- Project: Major High-Technology Construction Project
- Duration: 3 Years (with potential for further work)
- Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Friday: Early finish
Role Overview:
This is a 3-year project with the possibility of further work on completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing all aspects of document control and administration on a fast-paced construction site, ensuring smooth and efficient project operations.
Key Responsibilities
Document Control:
- Manage and maintain the project’s document control system, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible.
- Oversee the distribution, storage, and retrieval of technical documents, drawings, and project records.
- Ensure compliance with company and project-specific document management procedures.
Administration Support:
- Provide administrative support to the project team, including meeting coordination, minute-taking, and correspondence management.
- Maintain site records, including attendance logs, induction records, and health & safety documentation.
- Support project reporting and liaise with stakeholders as required.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and documentation flow.
- Assist in coordinating document reviews and approvals in line with project timelines.
Quality Assurance:
- Regularly audit the document control system to identify and resolve any inconsistencies or gaps.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual, and project-specific standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in document control and administration on large construction projects.
- Proficiency in document management systems and software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working in a dynamic team environment.
- Familiarity with construction site operations and terminology is essential.
