Groundworks Foreman – New Build Housing

Location: West Cornwall
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 + Benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role

We are working with a privately owned new build housing developer based in West Cornwall to recruit an experienced Groundworks Foreman.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable house builder on a permanent basis, overseeing a wide range of groundworks activities including roads, sewers, and adoptions.

The successful candidate will manage and support a small team while remaining hands-on to ensure smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and lead a small groundworks team on new build housing developments
• Carry out hands-on groundworks tasks where required
• Oversee the construction of roads, sewers, drainage, and site infrastructure
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
• Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Maintain compliance with health & safety standards and regulations

About You

• Proven experience in groundworks within new build housing developments
• Strong knowledge of roads, sewers, drainage, and adoptions
• Ability to manage and motivate a small team while remaining hands-on
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Relevant site qualifications (e.g. SSSTS, CSCS) desirable
• Based in or willing to commute to West Cornwall

Salary & Benefits

• £55,000 – £60,000 per annum
