Health and Safety Advisor – Tier 1 Building Contractor

Are you an experienced Health and Safety Advisor looking to join a leading Tier 1 contractor with a strong pipeline of prestigious projects across Wales and the West?

Our client is a well-established, award-winning building contractor renowned for delivering high-quality construction and refurbishment projects valued up to £100 million. Operating across a diverse range of sectors, they are now seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to support their continued growth across the Wales and West region, reaching as far south as Exeter.

The Role:

Reporting to the Regional Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation and management of health and safety systems across multiple live projects. You’ll work closely with site teams to promote a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with internal policies and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and advise site management teams on all aspects of health and safety.
• Monitor, review, and improve health and safety performance across multiple projects.
• Carry out site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety briefings.
• Assist with incident investigations and the implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate HSE documentation and reports.

About You:

• Proven experience as a Health and Safety Advisor in the construction industry.
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent) essential.
• Strong working knowledge of current H&S legislation and construction site requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
