Location: Cardiff Salary: Permanent Salary + Benefits Package We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support project leaders in delivering high standards of service, achieving successful outcomes, and enhancing our culture of innovation. The role holder will manage contract administration, risk management, and negotiation effectively to deliver agreed profitability and cash projections, inform line management, and seek guidance when required. ## Key Accountabilities: – Communicate and liaise with M&E sub-contractors – Ensure commercial compliance with current contracts, protecting the company’s position – Report to the Lead Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, Project Director, and other stakeholders about the subcontract status, including updating the cost control platform as required – Support the Commercial Department with monthly project cost and progress reports – Assist the Commercial Department when required, including procurement, contract administration, variations, and work package management – Liaise with Construction as required – Quantity take-off – Prepare monthly reports as required – Assist with monthly work-in-progress reports in conjunction with the Commercial Manager/ Project Director – Manage delegated resources (e.g., budgets, equipment, and contracts) to ensure value for money – Be fully aware of and actively comply with policies and procedures relevant to your responsibilities, including equality, sustainability, health and safety, and data protection ## Qualifications: – Minimum BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent – 2-4 years of post-graduate experience in a similar role – Previous NEC contract experience (NEC3 or NEC4 option C) ## Essential Skills & Experience: – Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work to deadlines, and pay attention to detail – Excellent time management, organisation, and problem-solving skills – Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to analyse and communicate complex ideas and information to a range of audiences and stakeholders – Familiar with IT software, particularly the Microsoft suite, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word — If you are interested and would like further details, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
