Role Overview
As a key member of the Preconstruction Team, you will contribute to the planning and development of a wide range of civil engineering projects across multiple sectors. This role provides the opportunity to influence project success from an early stage, ensuring robust, efficient, and contractually compliant planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within a close-knit Preconstruction Team, covering all sectors within the civil engineering spectrum.
- Assist in leading the overall planning function at a divisional level.
- Ensure adequate resources and training are provided so each tender and project receives the appropriate planning support.
- Review project buildability, identifying risks, opportunities, and efficiencies.
- Produce and develop tender and construction programmes that are contractually compliant and based on realistic budgets, scopes, and available resources.
- Monitor on-site progress and update programmes in line with contract conditions and project developments.
- Provide clear and accurate planning information to support bid submissions and project delivery teams.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience across all aspects of civil engineering projects.
- Strong understanding of preconstruction and planning processes.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 (essential).
- Based at the Wales & Energy Bridgend office, with travel to projects across the UK as required.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
- Ideally located within commuting distance of Bridgend.
