Totnes – Office Based
Permanent – Full time
£35,000-£40,000 Depending on experience
I am working on a unique opportunity to join a leading design and handcrafting timber frame contractor, as a Project Manager based in their Totnes office.
Working closely with clients, architects & engineers you will manage projects from design through to practical delivery on site, both nationally and internationally.
Main responsibilities:
  • Managing numerous timber frame construction projects through all RIBA work stages
  • An understanding of JCT contracts is essential
  • Managing projects post-sale, as the main point of contact for our clients and their agents
  • Take a leading role in the handover process from Sales & Estimating, ensuring the scheme is fully understood from both the design and commercial perspectives
  • Briefing frame design and production on the programme and material requirements
  • Work with the wider team to ensure successful delivery of the project including technical design, procurement, workshop and site phases
  • Liaise with the sales teams to understand the company pipeline and programme
  • Attending site and design meetings as required
Suitable candidates:
  • Passionate about timber, architecture & high quality craftsmanship
  • Extensive experience in delivering projects on time & budget
  • Knowledge of timber & modern methods of construction
  • Previous experience in design led construction project management
  • A thorough understanding of architectural drawings and construction work stages is essential
  • Commercial experience and extensive knowledge of JCT contracts is essential
  • Experience in using Excel, Project Management Software, Google Workplace & CRM system
