Project Manager

I’m currently recruiting for a Project Manager to work on part of the HS2 for a large environmental and rewilding company in Aylesbury.

They work with clients to identify nature-based solutions that deliver high biodiversity gains on sites across the UK and beyond. They work across the UK and Ireland on a wide range of projects that deliver benefits to both nature and people. This includes:

• Coastal restoration
• Ecosystem Analysis
• Habitat Creation
• Peatland Restoration
• Wetland river restoration

The Role:

As a Project Manager for their NEC Civils Contract, you will play a pivotal role in leading the successful delivery of rewilding and ecological restoration on a range of sites from maintenance to monitoring. Your expertise will ensure technical adherence to NEC4 contract conditions, facilitating the restoration of our large-scale rewilding efforts. You will be accountable for programming, logistics management, commercial performance, and client communications, whilst ensuring we meet the highest environmental standards.

As a Project Manager, your leadership will be critical in fostering a collaborative environment with stakeholders, managing risks, and driving innovative solutions to restore natural habitats and promote biodiversity.

Roles and responsibilities to include:

• Delivering landscape management, maintenance, and monitoring to the technical specification and in line with the programme as per the NEC4 contract conditions
• Cost and schedule performance of assigned work packages
• Risk management
• Working with external QS to manage all commercial aspects of the project.

Experience & Qualifications:

• NEC4 Experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience leading a landscape project in a highly regulated industry
• Full lifecycle experience from business case approval, design, execution & handover
• Experience in change control
• Ability to lead and manage the delivery of technical programmes/projects along the various technical lifecycles, considering cost and schedule requirements.
• Management of commercial aspects of technical delivery
• Strong communication skills at multiple organisational levels, internally and externally.
• A full UK driving licence will be required for this position.
