Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background in groundworks and civil engineering? The Role: Quantity Surveyor – Groundworks

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial and financial performance of a major groundworks and infrastructure package. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure cost control, value engineering, and financial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the financial management of a major groundworks package.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments.
• Ensure NEC/JCT contract compliance, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Produce monthly cost reports and financial statements.
• Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to maximise cost efficiency.
• Work closely with site teams to monitor progress and variations.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and supply chain partners to ensure smooth project delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

✅ Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the groundworks sector.
✅ Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.
✅ Experience working with major projects and large-scale infrastructure packages.
✅ Familiarity with NEC or JCT contracts.
✅ Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
✅ Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
✅ Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and subcontractors.
