Dedicated to pushing the boundaries of construction, they create landmark developments that shape skylines and communities. With recent tender successes, they are now seeking highly skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyors to join their dynamic team. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in managing costs and contracts for substantial commercial projects, ensuring financial efficiency and project viability.

This role is based out of the Bristol office but projects range between Exeter and Taunton, this is where the majority of your time will be spent on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage cost estimates and budgets for commercial projects.
• Conduct measurement and valuation of work in progress.
• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Manage project finances and prepare monthly financial reports.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
• Negotiate contracts and procure materials and services.
• Assess and approve subcontractor invoices and claims.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the commercial construction sector.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Familiarity with industry-standard software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, CostX).
