Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

The Role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

You will play a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to excellence, value, and sustainability, contributing to the successful commercial management of diverse projects. While experience in civil engineering is preferred, we are open to candidates from a range of construction and infrastructure backgrounds who demonstrate strong commercial acumen and enthusiasm for progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct measurement and valuations for projects.
• Prepare and negotiate interim valuations and final accounts.
• Monitor and review the financial performance of contracts.
• Produce regular project performance reports for senior management.
• Maintain communication with clients regarding financial and project progress.
• Ensure timely customer payments in accordance with contract terms.
• Procure and manage subcontractors, including reviewing and agreeing accounts.
• Price projects prior to contract agreement and provide cost input into tenders.

Requirements

• Preferred: Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent such as HND / HNC).
• Essential: Knowledge and practical understanding of NEC3 / NEC4 forms of contract.
• Interest in obtaining professional membership (e.g. CICES or RICS).
• Experience in general civil engineering or related projects.
• Strong commitment to safety and company values.
• Ambitious, proactive, and personable, with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
