Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Car Allowance

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Quantity Surveyor to work on diverse construction projects throughout Devon. This position is open to candidates from experienced assistant surveyors looking to step up, to established mid-level and senior professionals.

Projects include bespoke new-build houses, high-value refurbishments, and specialised heritage restoration works.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct accurate on-site measurements and prepare valuations for works completed.
• Track, price, and negotiate variations to ensure project profitability.
• Prepare, submit, and agree on final accounts with clients, sub-contractors, and stakeholders.
• Assist with tendering, package procurement, and managing sub-contractor accounts.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Open to candidates from assistant level with a solid foundation in surveying to experienced Quantity Surveyors.
• Proven experience managing key commercial duties (variations, site measurements, final accounts, and valuations).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for financial reporting and cost modelling.
• A full UK driving license is required to conduct regular site visits across Devon.
