Sales Administrator

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £25,000

We are working with a well-established construction supplier who is looking to recruit a Sales Administrator to join their busy and growing team. This is a varied and hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting multiple departments across the business.


Role and Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers, handling enquiries via phone and email
  • Manage the shared inbox, responding to new client enquiries and directing leads to the Sales team
  • Process customer orders from start to finish, liaising with multiple teams across the business
  • Organise and schedule deliveries
  • Carry out credit checks, raise invoices, and ensure all order-related paperwork is completed accurately
  • Maintain and update customer records and internal systems
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders for supplies as required
  • Provide after-sales support to customers and feedback insights to the Sales team
  • Handle initial sales enquiries before passing qualified leads to Sales colleagues
  • Support internal HR administration, including managing HR system queries for the team

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Some knowledge of the construction industry (advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills with a professional and friendly telephone manner
  • Experience in a busy administration or office support role
  • Confidence working closely with different departments and stakeholders
