About the Role

Sphere Solutions are working with a leading Tier 1 contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their team in Exeter, delivering a large, complex design and build project in the heart of the city.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the successful delivery of a high-profile scheme, leading site operations while maintaining exceptional standards of health & safety, quality, and programme performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day running of the construction site
• Drive the construction programme, identifying risks and implementing solutions to maintain progress
• Lead, motivate, and develop site teams and subcontractors
• Ensure the highest standards of health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance are maintained
• Chair daily coordination meetings with subcontractors and site teams
• Maintain accurate site records and provide regular progress updates
• Work closely with commercial, buying, and design teams throughout the project lifecycle
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards

About You

• Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager working for a Tier 1 or main contractor
• Experience delivering design and build construction projects (Passivhaus experience is desirable)
• Strong understanding of construction methodology, procurement, and project delivery
• Experience managing Health & Safety, quality assurance, and Temporary Works
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid at Work certification
