Technical Coordinator

I’m looking to recruit a Technical Co-Ordinator for a regional housing developer

If you have experience working within house building or practice and enjoy the co-ordination of technical / design information, please read on.

The role will be varied, and you will be tasked with coordinating key design information and working drawing packages to enable the development to be built as intended and to obtain all necessary technical approvals. You will coordinate RIBA stages 2 – 5, assisting in interpreting technical drawings, plans and paperwork, and ensuring all technical and design information is in place. Building predominantly in timber frame, you will have an understanding of modern house building methods.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate technical and design information, both architectural and engineering
• Oversee the NHBC/LABC/Building Regulations applications for approval
• Ensure that working drawings are in accordance with the approved planning scheme, and ensure timely discharge of planning conditions
• Design reviews with site teams and external consultants, ensuring all information is present and correct.

Suitable candidates:

• Experience working with a housing developer or from a structural engineering background
• HND/ONC in Design, Construction or Civil Engineering
• Knowledge and understanding of modern house building methods in particular timber frame
• Excellent communicator, with high attention to detail
• Full driving license – sites across Devon & Cornwall
• CSCS card is advantageous but not essential
