Our client is a well-established regional construction company that put Health, Safety and Quality at the forefront of their agenda and as a high priority for all of their sites.

With an exceptional programme of works and forthcoming sites in mind they have a need for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their South West operations and work with the SHE team advising on all health and safety matters, sites will be across Plymouth and Cornwall.

The successful applicant will promote and uphold a positive health & safety culture on site and provide specialist expert construction health and safety knowledge to the business. Suitable candidates will have good experience of implementing a positive health and safety culture within a construction / contracting environment.

The role will include:

  • To advise and maintain safe systems of work across all sites, monitoring compliance with all legal bodies and regulatory requirements
  • Produce Construction phase plans
  • Assist to write up internal Health and Safety documentation, safety policies and strategies
  • Undertake risk assessments and method statements
  • Work with the client to understand requirement and offer a collaborative approach on site
  • Working with the site team to uphold a positive health and safety environment
  • Ensure all works are carried out / set to achieve ISO/SMAS certifications

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within construction
  • NEBOSH General or Construction
  • Experience of CDM, Risk assessment, Construction Phase Plans, Fire Safety, Waste Management, Manual handling
  • Full valid driving license

You will work alongside an experienced Accounts team providing administration support and managing various financial processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Accurately input purchase and sales invoices onto in-house systems.
  • Manage company credit card transactions, ensuring proper documentation and timely recording.
  • Monitor and track employee credit card expenses, and review and reconcile credit card statements.
  • Assist with the processing of payments and managing accounts payable and receivable.
  • Adhoc accounts administration support.

Suitable candidates:

  • Must have previous experience with invoice processing, credit card management and accounts administration.
  • Competent knowledge of computer functions such as Microsoft. Sage knowledge and experience is preferable.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

This is a full-time office-based role Monday-Friday 9am-5pm with half an hour for lunch.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and ensure the fleet operates efficiently, safely and within budget.
  • Schedule vehicle inspections and any necessary repairs and services (MOTs).
  • Ensure all fleet activities comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Budget management and fleet reporting, keep accurate records regarding vehicle fleet operations.
  • Build and maintain good working relationships with external service providers, such as fuel suppliers and maintenance contractors.
  • Regulatory compliance management.

Suitable candidates:

  • All applicants must hold a valid Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Transport Management.

You will manage the Mechanical and Electrical subcontractors through the contractor design portion (COP), design development, site installation, and commissioning, ensuring all work is fully coordinated and delivered on schedule.

About You:
