Suitable candidates:

Your day to day will include:

  • Provide commercial input including financial and contractual performance forecasts.
  • Preparation of monthly cost/value reports for the area, together with a review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members
  • Production of commercial reports together with review of results and consideration of trends with other contract team members
  • Physical measurement of works and agreement of same with client and subcontractors
  • Agreement of certification and payment of subcontractor accounts – monitoring of such accounts against forecasts. Ensure cash flow is maximised including ensuring payments are received on time.

Who are we looking for?

  • Must be educated to degree level
  • Must have experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a large contractor
  • Must have confident IT skills, proficient in the use of MS Office particularly in Excel
  • You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbally
  • Must hold a Full UK Drivers Licence
  • Must be able to gain Security Clearance

I am working with a regional house builder to recruit an experienced Customer Care / Multi-Skilled Technician’

You will be delivering aftercare & defect management on new build housing developments across Devon, Cornwall & Somerset.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will carry out all maintenance and repairs to new build housing, ensuring the very best care and service is provided to new homeowners throughout their aftercare period.

Key responsibilities:

  • Taking direction from the Customer Care Manager, ensuring all appointments are attended on time.
  • Ensure the property is adequately protected before the commencement of works, including PPE and overshoes. Take relevant photographs confirming protection, before and after work and report on completion of works via email.
  • Review your diary and ensure that workload is allocated appropriately, ensuring work can be completed right the first time in the time allowed and resolved promptly.
  • As and when required carry out inspections of reported defects and issue a full report with photographs.
  • Report any repetitive defects on active and non-active sites to the Customer Care Manager to discuss with the Commercial/Technical Director
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is followed, and site regulations are adhered to.

To be successful in the role, we are looking for:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction, and housebuilding & trades e.g. Painting, Decorating, Plastering, Carpentry and Joinery
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner,
  • Able to work as part of a small team with established processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise work and take initiative.
  • Works well under pressure/in a fast-moving environment.
  • Driving license.
