We are working with a long-established contractor to recruit an experienced Project Manager to take the project lead on a £12m new build projects, managing the site operations from enabling works stage to completion.

The role:

• Management of the site team, supply chain and all on site operations
• Site planning and programming, both short- and long-term programmes
• Coordinator and allocation of on-site resources, labour and materials
• Track and report on site progress, milestones and updates
• Ensure all on site HSE is compliant and at the forefront of everyone’s agenda
• Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control, working with the site QS.
• Client liaison and reporting to the Regional Director.

What you need:

• Experience at a similar level, managing projects in excess of £10m as a number one for a regional or main contractor
• Good experience of project planning – Asta Power Project
• Experience of building multi storey levels
• SMSTS, CSCS, FAW and Temporary Works
• Longevity with previous employers
• Good local supply chain knowledge

Accountabilities & Key Tasks:

• Manage the client, end users, contractors and labour staff.
• Source and manage the suitable supply chain.
• Ensure high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality within site operations, delivering a high-value, safe project for the client.
• Work across disciplines (Surveying, Design Management, Buying, Planning, HR, HSE) to effectively manage contracts.
• To plan, organise, control, and coordinate the project to a satisfactory and safe completion.

Senior Project Manager / Project Director

A leading National Main Contractor, recognized as one of the UK’s top construction and property development businesses, is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager / Project Director for a prestigious project in Exeter Circ. £260m.

The project involves the largest Passivhaus scheme in the Student Accommodation sector, which includes the construction of 1,700 new build units and the refurbishment of 300 existing units. The buildings will range from 3 to 8 storeys, with construction slated to begin in July 2025.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee all aspects of the project, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Manage the project team, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure successful delivery.

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, particularly in sustainability and building codes.

Ideal Candidate:

About the role….

• Take responsibility for delivering profitable development opportunities to meet targets and programmes
• Progress and manage the planning processes
• Provide town planning advice
• Assess planning risks prior to land purchase, considering all planning issues and investigate to quantify any risks
• Consider all planning issues in connection with the land e.g. archaeological, ecological, highways, services, TIA’s, EIA’s, BNG, etc
