Key Responsibilities:

  • To manage sub-contractors and site labour
  • Working to programmes and budgets
  • Ensure compliance and Health and Safety Regulations are in place and met at all times
  • Liaise with the Contracts Manager to ensure build programme and discuss any issues

Suitable candidates:

  • SMSTS, First Aid at Work, CSCS Card
  • Stone/Masonry Build experience is essential
  • Good supply chain management ability

Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will work closely with the site teams to ensure all contracts within the branch are running in a safe working environment, develop project-specific programmes and ensure correct resources are available to allow the contracts team to deliver their projects on time, to specification and budget.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the mobilisation and setup of all projects, larger projects should have a mobilisation plan established and followed. Works will include EWI, Solar Panel & decarbonisation.
  • Develop suitable programmes of work with the management team.
  • Implement weekly labour plans across all contracts to review resources.
  • Manage the Project Managers weekly review of labour targets, to ensure compliance. Non-compliance should be reported.
  • Regularly check and audit purchases, and timesheets to deter fraud.
  • Ensure all operatives behave in a courteous and polite manner, in line with the company code of conduct.
  • Actively manage project operations staff, reporting to the Branch Manager on all operational matters.

Suitable candidates will possess the following:

  • Must be a passionate leader, a good listener and a natural problem solver.
  • Must have experience working in a similar role with a contractor, working on refurbishment/retrofit/maintenance/construction projects.
  • HNC in construction or equivalent.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Good knowledge of the industry and a wide range of local contacts.

You will play a part in the delivery of projects and packages of work valued from £50k to £1m. My client’s scope of work includes – Earthworks, Civil Engineering, Remediation, Groundworks, Drainage and RC structures on Residential and Commercial new-build projects.

Reporting to the Commercial Director and working closely with the construction team, you will take responsibility for pricing tender packages, following the process from initial receipt through to award. Suitable candidates will have sound knowledge and the ability to read drawings with specific attention to detail.

  • My client will pay up to £65,000 & a package for the most suitable candidate.

  • Management of direct labour and sub-contractors
  • You will ensure site health and site set-up is undertaken and in accordance to company standards and expectation

It is with great confidence we are recruiting for an Accounts Manager to head up an accounts team for a busy construction company.

Working with an experienced and diligent team you will take the helm of ensuring all accounts systems and processes are actioned in a detailed and organised manner.

The role:

  • To manage the accounts function of a busy construction company
  • Managing the other members of the accounts team
  • VAT reports and returns
  • Managing and adhering to deadlines for VAT, TAX etc.
  • Paying subcontractors CIS
  • Dealing with/ chasing large payments and billing large sums
  • Process payroll, invoicing and applications
  • Setting up new starters to the company

What you need:

  • Good experience in managing accounts/payroll process, being tasked and detailed orientated with leadership experience
  • Must have worked within a construction environment
  • An understanding of CIS Payments
  • SAGE experience is essential, and knowledge of the construction add-on EQUE2 would be advantageous
  • Detail-oriented, task/date focus, organised and have leadership experience
  • Longevity with previous employers would be a distinct advantage
  • Driving License due to the office location

Hours – Monday to Friday ; 8.30am – 5pm with an hour for lunch
