Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will work closely with the site teams to ensure all contracts within the branch are running in a safe working environment, develop project-specific programmes and ensure correct resources are available to allow the contracts team to deliver their projects on time, to specification and budget.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Assist with the mobilisation and setup of all projects, larger projects should have a mobilisation plan established and followed. Works will include EWI, Solar Panel & decarbonisation.
  • Develop suitable programmes of work with the management team.
  • Implement weekly labour plans across all contracts to review resources.
  • Manage the Project Managers weekly review of labour targets, to ensure compliance. Non-compliance should be reported.
  • Regularly check and audit purchases, and timesheets to deter fraud.
  • Ensure all operatives behave in a courteous and polite manner, in line with the company code of conduct.
  • Actively manage project operations staff, reporting to the Branch Manager on all operational matters.

Suitable candidates will possess the following:

  • Must be a passionate leader, a good listener and a natural problem solver.
  • Must have experience working in a similar role with a contractor, working on refurbishment/retrofit/maintenance/construction projects.
  • HNC in construction or equivalent.
  • SMSTS, CSCS and in-depth knowledge of Health & Safety.
  • Good knowledge of the industry and a wide range of local contacts.

I am working with a regional house builder to recruit an experienced Customer Care/Multi-Skilled Technician.

You will be delivering aftercare & defect management on new-build housing developments across Devon, Cornwall & Somerset.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will perform all maintenance and repairs to newly built and owned properties, ensuring the best care and service is provided to new homeowners throughout their aftercare period.

Key responsibilities:

  • Taking direction from the Customer Care Manager, ensuring all appointments are attended on time.
  • Ensure the property is adequately protected before the commencement of works, including PPE and overshoes. Take relevant photographs confirming protection, before and after work and report on completion of works via email.
  • Review your diary and ensure that workload is allocated appropriately, ensuring work can be completed right the first time in the time allowed and resolved promptly.
  • As and when required carry out inspections of reported defects and issue a full report with photographs.
  • Report any repetitive defects on active and non-active sites to the Customer Care Manager to discuss with the Commercial/Technical Director
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is followed, and site regulations are followed.

To be successful in the role, we are looking for:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction, and housebuilding & trades e.g. Painting, Decorating, Plastering, Carpentry and Joinery
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner,
  • Able to work as part of a small team with established processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise work and take initiative.
  • Works well under pressure/in a fast-moving environment.
  • Driving license.
  • Must be willing to travel to sites across Devon, Cornwall & Somerset.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will manage the financial aspects of contracts including sub-contractor procurement, invoicing and payment management, through to the final account. Projects will be varied and include; fire stopping, retrofit – PV installations and general planned maintenance works across social housing and commercial clients.

Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Supply chain procurement
  • Ensure tenders are prepared by measuring and calculating rates
  • Measure and prepare cost estimates for contracts and tenders
  • Ensure all work issued has labour targets to return agreed margins
  • Ensure production targets are issued and contract CVR’s are set
  • Valuations and final accounts

Suitable applicants will possess the following:

  • Previous experience in a quantity surveying role, ideally within contracting, maintenance or fire-stopping
  • Knowledge of the financial and contractual elements of projects
  • Able to manage a contract from inception to final account, understand all costing and expected budgets
  • Relevant industry qualifications

We are assisting in recruiting a Billable / Small Works Manager for a long-standing MOD maintenance contract

To join a direct delivery team, managing a pipeline of small projects up to £25k across a large MoD site and surrounding locations.

 Duties will include:

  • You will be responsible for overseeing  the direct delivery of minor works up to £25,000, complying with all Health & Safety and Environmental standards and policies
  • Liaison with the direct delivery team and contractors to ensure all billable works are delivered efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Working cohesively with the Built Estate Manager, you will provide weekly progress reports on billable work plans, advising on budgets, requirements, and project risks
  • Manage on-site health and safety, and ensure all persons on site observe compliance standards.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce energy consumption on site and initiate Billable Works as appropriate by the raising of Statements of Need

Suitable candidates will possess the following:

  • Previous experience within facility management or built estates managing small works, including scoping of works, CDM regulations and Asbestos
  • An HNC/ONC or equivalent level qualification in a Building / Civil Engineering or Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline is desirable
  • Experience or qualifications in Asbestos Awareness and Legionella Control
  • IOSH and or SMSTS.
  • Good IT skills and previous experience working with CAFM systems such as Maximo are desirable.
  • You must be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
