You will be delivering aftercare & defect management on new-build housing developments across Devon, Cornwall & Somerset.

Reporting to the Customer Service Manager, you will perform all maintenance and repairs to newly built and owned properties, ensuring the best care and service is provided to new homeowners throughout their aftercare period.

Key responsibilities:

  • Taking direction from the Customer Care Manager, ensuring all appointments are attended on time.
  • Ensure the property is adequately protected before the commencement of works, including PPE and overshoes. Take relevant photographs confirming protection, before and after work and report on completion of works via email.
  • Review your diary and ensure that workload is allocated appropriately, ensuring work can be completed right the first time in the time allowed and resolved promptly.
  • As and when required carry out inspections of reported defects and issue a full report with photographs.
  • Report any repetitive defects on active and non-active sites to the Customer Care Manager to discuss with the Commercial/Technical Director
  • Ensure that Health and Safety is followed, and site regulations are followed.

To be successful in the role, we are looking for:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction, and housebuilding & trades e.g. Painting, Decorating, Plastering, Carpentry and Joinery
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner,
  • Able to work as part of a small team with established processes and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise work and take initiative.
  • Works well under pressure/in a fast-moving environment.
  • Driving license.
  • Must be willing to travel to sites across Devon, Cornwall & Somerset.

I am working with a large well known local Shop Fitting company to recruit a Site Operative with a HGV Articulated licence on a full time, permanent basis.

Candidates will live locally and will be prepared to travel anywhere nationally to assist with shop refits, acting as a Site Labour, and driving a HGV carrying equipment and tools from the site back to base.

Training will be given and any expenses or over night stays will be paid by employer.

Suitable candidates will have construction site experience, need to have HGV class 1 E articulated licence and a CSCS card.

  • Ensure tenders are prepared by measuring and calculating rates

You will join a forward-thinking team that puts delivery and safety at the forefront of their agenda, working in partnership with the client to deliver maintenance and building services across this MoD establishment.

The opportunity will offer variation and as the Project Manager you will take responsibility for delivering multiple construction projects simultaneously at any one time, ranging from building fabric to M&E upgrades through to internal repairs.

This will include – Working with the client to plan the delivery of the projects, managing subcontractors, ensuring on-site health and safety is compliant, working within CDM regulations and ensuring projects are delivered within both the programme and budget. Manage and support the client’s expectations, progress reports and delivery time scales. Strong commercial awareness and technical ability will be required.
The candidate:

  • HNC, or equivalent, level qualification in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience of managing construction, property maintenance programmes of work, and working in an MoD environment will be advantageous.
  • SMSTS and Asbestos awareness
  • Good supply chain management and local knowledge
  • Full Driving License
  • Excellent IT skills – MS Office and any experience of using CAFM will be an advantage.
