Location: Plymouth (covering South West sites) – Hybrid Working
Salary: Up to £52,000 + Car Package
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role
We are working with a leading facilities and construction contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join their Projects Team, working from home and covering sites across the South West.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of refurbishment and new build projects, providing commercial support across multiple schemes.
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for estimating costs, quantities, and project timelines, while supporting project delivery to ensure completion safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Projects Team with estimating, cost planning, and financial reporting
- Develop strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and monitor key project milestones
- Provide cost advice and support to the Billable Works Team
- Liaise with senior leadership on project progress and risk management
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Quality, and Sustainability standards
- Assist with tenders, proposals, dispute resolution, and risk analysis
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously across the South West region
About You
- HND/Foundation Degree in Quantity Surveying (or equivalent qualification)
- Experience within construction and/or commercial property maintenance
- Strong background in cost models, risk analysis, and procurement
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organisational skills
- Ability to manage a busy workload across several live projects
- Suitable for an experienced Assistant QS looking to step up, or an established QS
- Full UK driving licence (travel required across the South West)
- Ability to obtain SC Clearance (essential)
