About the Role

We are working with a privately owned new build housing developer to recruit a permanent Telehandler for a brand-new residential development in Ilfracombe.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing developer offering long-term, secure employment and continuity of work across future housing schemes.

You will play an important role supporting site operations, assisting trades, moving materials safely around site, and helping maintain a clean and organised working environment. There will also be the requirement to carry out general labouring duties when you are not operating the Telehandler.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate the telehandler safely and efficiently across site

The Role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of residential developments, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality, health & safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing site operations from groundwork through to handover

We are seeking a commercially aware and highly organised Development Manager to join a growing property development team delivering residential apartment and change-of-use schemes across Plymouth. This position will oversee developments from planning and pre-construction through to completion and handover, ensuring projects are delivered on programme, within budget, and in line with compliance and operational requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage residential and Build-to-Rent developments from planning approval through to practical completion and handover
  • Coordinate internal teams including design, technical, construction, and commercial departments
  • Liaise with architects, consultants, contractors, local authorities, funders, and investors throughout the development lifecycle
  • Ensure all development agreements, contracts, and project documentation are effectively managed and maintained
  • Monitor project programmes, key milestones, and delivery targets to ensure successful project outcomes

  • Strong understanding of the full development process from acquisition and planning through to construction and completion
  • Knowledge of development agreements, planning processes, contracts, and project delivery frameworks
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders including consultants, contractors, funders, and local authorities
  • Commercially aware with experience monitoring development budgets and project programmes
  • Strong organisational, communication, and project coordination skills

Desirable Experience

This role is ideal for someone with proven experience delivering high-quality new build homes who thrives in a fast-paced, organised environment.

You’ll support the Site Manager with daily operations, ensuring homes are delivered safely, on programme, and to excellent quality standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day site operations and supervise subcontractors
  • Complete weekly planning to achieve build programme deadlines
