About the Role
We’re working with a privately owned regional house builder to recruit a Quality Inspector to join their team, based on a large development in Newquay.
This role will be site-based, supporting the site teams through both the build and aftercare phases — ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Control – ensuring documentation, files, and drawings are filed correctly.
- Work closely with sub-contractors to ensure work is completed to a high standard, reporting on any issues identified.
- Support site management teams to ensure projects meet specification, compliance, and client expectations.
- Review project documentation and ensure works are completed in line with contract scope and quality requirements.
- Assist with audits, inspections, and quality reporting.
About You
- Previous experience in a Quality Inspector, Clerk of Works, or Quality Manager role within construction — ideally within house building.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction processes and standards.
- Highly computer literate, with knowledge of site QA systems.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
- Professional, approachable, and able to build strong working relationships on site.

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a large external scheme in Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable regional contractor, managing the successful delivery of high-value commercial projects.
You’ll work closely with both clients and site teams to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, programme, and manage project delivery in line with agreed timescales and budgets.
- Lead and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain strong communication with the client, employer’s agent, occupants, and key stakeholders.
- Ensure high standards of health & safety, quality, and environmental compliance are maintained across all sites.
- Oversee reporting, forecasting, and progress monitoring.
- Support and mentor site teams to ensure consistency and collaboration.
About You
- Proven experience as a Project Manager on commercial schemes valued around £10m.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, planning, and commercial awareness.
- IT literate, with experience using construction software.
- Based in Cornwall, with excellent understanding of the local supply chain.
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid at Work certifications.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to build lasting relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee programme delivery, quality, health & safety, and cost control.

Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £30,000-£35,000

This is a varied role where you’ll be involved in procurement, subcontract management, monthly valuations, cost reporting, and final accounts, all while driving margin improvement and supporting the successful delivery of housing schemes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all costs relating to residential projects from procurement through to final account.
- Minimise costs and maximise value, whilst meeting required standards and specifications.
- Oversee subcontractor management, contract administration, and monthly payments.
- Prepare cost reports, forecasts, and valuations in line with project progress.
- Work closely with project teams to monitor budgets, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and best practices.
About You
- HNC/HND in Surveying (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within residential or contracting sectors.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
- Commercially astute with good negotiation, communication, and networking skills.
- Confident with budget management and reporting.
- Proficient in MS Office (experience with COINS is advantageous).
- Full UK driving licence (site travel required).
