I am working with a highly successful regional contractor to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee several refurbishment projects at any one time. Working across multiple sectors, which will include refurbishment of heritage, MoD, commercial and further educational establishments, up to £2m.
To be considered for this role you will need Project / Contracts Management experience within the refurbishment sectors and have a successful track record in project delivery, leading and coordinating multiple schemes.

Duties will include:

• Project planning and pre-construction engagement – setting time scales
• Project mobilisation and site setup – programme, planning – safe and timely delivery
• Excellent construction phase implementation and delivery – management of direct labour and subcontractors
• Continual communication, to successful completion and handover of projects – site teams and client liaison

Suitable candidates:

• A proven track record managing multiple projects up to £2m, working will include; MoD, Commercial,
• Refurbishment and Heritage schemes
• NVQ 6/7, Degree in a construction related subject
• SMSTS, CSCS White / Black Card, full Driving License
• Candidates must be willing to undergo enhanced DBS/security clearance.
• Excellent communication and IT skills are a must,

Building Services Manager
Exeter
We are looking for an experienced Building Services Manager to join a large £200m + student accommodation project in Exeter. You will manage the Mechanical and Electrical subcontractors through the contractor design portion (COP), design development, site installation, and commissioning, ensuring all work is fully coordinated and delivered on schedule.
You’ll champion the perfect delivery philosophy, maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality, and client satisfaction.

About You:

• Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline (preferably Mechanical or Electrical)
• Experience with a Tier 1 contractor, including pre-construction experience
• Previous experience of leading the building services package on major projects preferred.
• Strong understanding of M&E procedures, with technical and professional expertise
• Ability to produce M&E design, installation, and commissioning programmes
• Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and meet targets effectively
• A full UK driving licence is required

Contracts Manager – Groundworks

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager with groundworks and civil engineering experience to join a long-standing regional Contractor to manage their sites across the Exeter area and Somerset.

The Role:

• You will be tasked with the overall management of designated sites, to ensure / maintain on site health and safety, ensuring compliance and standards are always met.
• Managing site teams, direct labour and subcontractors,
• Ensuring all plant and materials are fit for purpose,
• All PPE and on site HSE are in place.
• Ensure both short- and long-term programmes and planning is in place to deliver sites on time
• Work and liaise with internal and external Health and Safety consultants, advisors and auditors, ensuring all duties and responsibilities are followed.
• Regular liaison with the client on progress and attending meetings when required.
• Ensure timely delivery of sites, ensuring budgets are met / adhered to
• Regular liaison with both commercial and technical teams
• Source and recruit site teams, labour, ensuring on going training and HR matters are overseen and actioned

 

Requirements:

• Experience at Contract Manager level within groundworks – both housing and commercial will be considered
• Good programming and planning ability
• Have a good level of health and safety management, RAMS and COSHH – hold a relevant SMSTS ticket
• Commercial / financial understanding
• Full Driving License as sites will be across Exeter / Somerset

 

Salary is dependent on experience but is in the region of £70,000 + company vehicle.
