About the Opportunity

Sphere Solutions is recruiting on behalf of an established building, fit-out, and refurbishment contractor specialising in high-technology, high-specification projects across the Swindon and Oxford region.

We are seeking an experienced Architect to join the design and delivery team, working on complex fit-out, refurbishment, and high-tech building projects. This role is ideal for a creative, client-focused professional who enjoys collaborating closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, detailed drawings, and technical specifications for fit-out and refurbishment projects
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure designs meet project requirements
• Produce architectural documentation for tendering, planning approvals, and construction
• Conduct site visits to monitor design implementation and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
• Advise on materials, finishes, and innovative solutions to meet client brief and budget
• Ensure designs comply with building regulations, planning, and Health & Safety standards

Skills & Experience Required

• Qualified Architect (RIBA Part III) with proven experience in fit-out, refurbishment, or high-spec building projects
• Strong technical knowledge of architectural design, construction methods, and detailing
• Experience preparing detailed drawings, specifications, and BIM models
• Excellent client liaison and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Knowledge of building regulations, CDM, and Health & Safety requirements

Key Responsibilities
·Manage and supervise site operations for multiple projects simultaneously

·Monitor project progress, quality standards, and programme schedules
·Manage on-site resources, materials, and labour effectively
·Produce and maintain site reports, risk assessments, and project documentation

Skills & Experience Required
·Proven experience as a Site Manager or Senior Site Supervisor in construction
·Experience managing fit-out, refurbishment, or high-spec building projects
·Strong leadership and team management skills

·Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and project logistics
·Strong communication and client liaison skills
·Relevant construction qualifications (SMSTS, CSCS, HNC, or equivalent)

Due to ongoing growth and a strong order book, we are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager or Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects from pre-construction through to handover.

This role suits a driven, client-focused professional with the confidence to manage high-spec, fast-paced schemes and lead multiple project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and deliver multiple live fit-out/refurbishment projects simultaneously
• Act as the main point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to high-quality standards
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, programme, H&S and project reporting
• Coordinate with commercial, technical and design teams throughout delivery
• Monitor financial performance, variations and procurement

Skills & Experience Required

• Experience as a Project Manager, Contracts Manager or Senior Site Manager in construction
• Background delivering fit-out, refurbishment or building projects
• Proven leadership ability and excellent client-facing skills
• Track record of managing multiple schemes concurrently
• High-technology/controlled environment experience advantageous
• SMSTS, CSCS and relevant construction qualifications preferred
