Reflecting on a Year of Social Value at Sphere Solutions

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year! Can you believe it’s been a whole year since I jumped into the Social Value Manager role at Sphere Solutions Ltd.? Time does fly when you love what you do!

Looking back over the past 12 months, it’s been a blast. We’ve clocked over 300 hours connecting with school kids and those who need a leg up in the job market – positively impacting over 2000 lives. We’re not stopping there – we’re all about shouting out career paths in construction to the next generation of workers and arming people with the skills to step up their job game, especially in underrepresented groups.

We’ve teamed up with Job Centres, matching long-term unemployed candidates with some fantastic opportunities. Our collaboration with prisons and ex-offenders demonstrates our mission to provide sustainable job options upon their release. We’ve also solidified our commitment to service leavers and veterans by signing the Armed Forces Covenant.

Our mission to tackle homelessness is in full swing – working hand in hand with regional charities, running employability sessions, making donations, and going all out with fundraising. And STEM? We’re all about it, with a cool 2080 pupil engagements.

Community support is another of our key areas of interest, clocking up over 300 hours of local initiatives like litter picks with primary school eco-teams, river clean-ups, and even planting over 800 trees at our sponsored forest in Almonsbury.

And big news – Sphere Solutions Ltd bagged the “Subcontractor of the Year for Social Value” award from a client. We’re stoked about it and see it as a testament to our commitment to making a positive impact.

So here’s to a year of rocking it, breaking records, and giving back to the community. Massive shoutout to the whole Sphere Solutions Ltd crew – let’s dive into the next chapter of adventures! 🚀🥂
