there was no better way to celebrate than bringing our entire team together for two unforgettable days in the heart of Fistral Bay, Newquay. The Sphere Summer Conference 2025 wasn’t just a break from the office – it was a powerful reminder of what makes our business truly special: our people, our shared purpose, and the culture we’ve worked hard to build together.
A Location That Matched the Occasion
Set against the iconic backdrop of Cornwall’s coast, our choice of location was intentional. Fistral Bay, with its open skies, rolling waves and fresh sea air, offered the perfect environment to take stock of how far we’ve come – and to look ahead with energy and optimism.
As an employee-owned business, we don’t just work together — we grow together. This year’s conference was about reflection and reward, but also about recharging our collective drive as we continue our mission to be the go-to recruitment partner for the construction industry across Wales and the South West.
Teamwork, Sunshine & Sand Underfoot
Thursday kicked off with a relaxed but energising morning on the beach. With the help of the brilliant team at Newquay Activity Centre, we took part in a mix of team-building games, beach challenges and water-based activities — all designed to strengthen bonds, boost morale and, most importantly, have a lot of fun!
We were lucky with the weather too — the Cornish sunshine showed up just in time, and the buzz of laughter and healthy competition set the tone for the rest of the event.
Fuel, Fun & Fantastic People
No team day is complete without great food — and our beachside lunch gave us all a chance to relax, recharge and enjoy the setting together. The afternoon rolled into more activities and informal downtime, with time to reconnect with colleagues across offices and celebrate the collaborative spirit that runs through Sphere.
One of the highlights of the day was our internal awards, recognising stand-out contributions, team efforts, and individual achievements over the past 12 months. It was a brilliant way to acknowledge the hard work and resilience shown across the business, especially during a year of exciting growth and change.
An Evening to Remember
Thursday evening brought the whole company together for a night out in Newquay — filled with food, laughter, and a real sense of celebration. We toasted not just to 20 years of Sphere Solutions, but to the people who’ve made it possible — from our founders and long-standing team members, to our new starters and every colleague who gives 100% every day.
Moments like these are about more than just milestones. They remind us that, at the heart of Sphere, is a team that cares deeply — about each other, about our candidates and clients, and about the quality of service we deliver.
